“I think we should raise unawareness. If I could be like 25% more unaware, that would be great. Could we run a 5k for that?”
It’s 2026, and everyone wants your attention.
Not just your attention –your opinion. Your statement. Your stance. Your public declaration.
You may have zero context. You may know nothing about the issue. But you’re not allowed to just exist quietly. Your silence is “loud,” they say.
And honestly? It’s exhausting.
When the world feels too heavy
We’re all a little tired of the noise.
We’ve learned to ignore the constant demand to care deeply about everything happening everywhere all at once.
The world is broken. We know.
But lately, I’ve felt convicted.
The emotional energy I waste outside the lanes God has assigned to me is actually crippling me. Compassion fatigue is real. We were never designed to carry the weight of the entire world on our shoulders.
And I can tell when I’m trying to.
The fruit of the Spirit –love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control –evaporates when I spread myself too thin. When I obsess over things I cannot change. When I try to be the Holy Spirit for others.
The world will quickly exploit your empathy if you let it.

A funny turn for an embryo adoption advocacy blog
This was supposed to be a post about embryo adoption advocacy.
But what keeps pouring out instead is this overwhelming desire to magnify the greatness of God.
His sovereignty.
His faithfulness.
His authority over our lives, and the lives of our children, born and unborn.
If you’re walking through infertility or considering embryo adoption, you already know: this journey forces you to confront how little control you actually have.
And that realization can either crush you, or anchor you.
God is our refuge
Psalm 46 says:
“God is our refuge and strength, a very ready help in trouble…
Stop striving and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted on the earth.”
Stop striving.
Not:
- Fix it.
- Figure it out.
- Control it.
- Announce your position on it.
Just… stop.
And know.
When I read Psalm 46 recently, the peace that washed over me was so torrential it leaked from the corners of my eyes. The earth shaking. Mountains falling into the sea. Nations raging.
And yet:
God is in the midst of her; she will not be moved.
Infertility can knock the wind out of you.
Embryo adoption — as beautiful as it is –can add another layer of fear and exposes every vulnerability.
But the God of Psalm 46 is your Father. As powerful now as he was then.

Small steps, giant faith
All of the Scripture in this post was shared with me last week by a faithful woman — a sister who has walked through similar fire and chosen obedience one step at a time.
Not loud.
Not performative.
Not striving.
Just faithful.
“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.”
I’m learning that this is what Christian infertility support looks like. Not pressure. Not panic. Not a to-do list.
Just Spirit-empowered obedience. Discipleship. Someone to walk alongside.
I see you. I’m here for you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and see what He is doing.
“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts. — Zechariah 4:6
Sharing hope through embryo adoption
Maybe raising “unawareness” isn’t such a bad idea after all.
Not apathy or indifference, but intentional focus. Sharing His goodness, not stirring up panic.

What has God assigned to you in this season?
Psalm 46 reminds us that God is ultimately fighting our battle. He is so exhaustively authoritative that nothing on earth can resist Him! I will never stop advocating for embryo adoption, but it’s exciting to see God take this blog where He wants it to go for His glory.
Stop striving.
He will be exalted.
And you, sister, are safely held in His hand.
